Brothers in art showcasing at e.culture-fair

Wednesday October 1st 2003 - The e-culture fair is a large-scale international event, showcasing the state-of-the-art in the field of new media. The projects presented are not just from one domain, but come from the cultural domain, from industry, science and education. No less than 45 projects are presented - each of them exciting combinations of installations, performances and presentations - illustrating how our world may be changed, and even improved. In order to really engage you in this spectacular world, the emphasis will be on hands-on experiences: try it yourself!

The main theme of this second fair is Research & Development in the field of new media within the cultural domain. This involves innovative research into new technologies and applications, not only those that apply to the cultural domain but to related fields as well. The projects that are presented are illustrations of what these new technologies may mean for how we work, communicate, learn and play.

The fair is structured into three zones, representative of different areas of technology and applications: / My Mode / / Toys4us / / Mobile Home /

On Friday the 24th of October Martin Kool from Brothers in art will present our findings within the cellcon project. Cellcon is the first mobile game in the Netherlands that makes use of mobile location based services. The presentation is set for 17:45 in the Melkweg Cinema.
